custerSince I have today at home, and the errands for the day are done, I have returned to the task of encoding my old cassette tapes. I just did one I recorded in Virginia literally 30 years ago of my father's childhood Edison Cylinder player. I was worried the cassette tape would not have held up after all this time, but it was a quality tape and it sounds as good as ever.
As did the voices of my father talking to his mother I heard in the background while I was changing cylinders. Both have been dead over a quarter of a century.
I still need to get software to separate out the individual recordings.
