I bought one of these (the lower device in this picture) to use to assemble the first ever issues of Huzzah, whcih were in a completely different format than the APA issues that came out later. The same stapler, apparently with absolutely no changes at all, is still sold, and is the best thing ever made for putting together books like comic books where you staple through the middle of the pages and not along the edge, which any stapler can handle.

I'm using it now to put together copies of [livejournal.com profile] martes book for next week at Conifur. Thing still works perfectly, even with all the dust on it.
