First time late to work

Actually, today was notable for a number of reasons, and at the moment it's still 7AM.

I woke up at 2:05. My alarm clock has two alarms in it - the radio alam andthe buzer alarm set seperately, and the radio alam went off. I normally do not use it, so I turned it off and went back to sleep. Apparently I turned BOTH alarms off a I woke up next at 4:15.

Well,I can't get to work 40 miles away in 15 minutes, so I decided to call in sick. Ironically I got a doctors office and not work. So I had no number. I didn't want to be AWOL, especially not on a Saturday. so I rushed in anyway and got to work 40 minutes late.

It was the first time in 5 months it has ever happened, and I'm one of the better workers, so they let it go. Ii even voluneered to work though lunch and was told it was not necessary. I had never been late before and was one of the few people who made a point of never coming back late from a break I guess this was to show the slackers that hard work earns you a brwnie points to use when you need it.

I then found out the guy with Thursdays & Fridays off who is assigned to the machne located on the flight line wants to swap with me after all. He likes being around people and doe not like the smell and noise of the flight line. So now I have better orking hours, better days off and a better working location with a better boss. It COULD have been a bad day but it got back on track pretty quickly. Even though I lost the stylus to my pocket PC sometime during the day.
